ABOUT HOMAGE

Homage is a complete home care solution that combines the curation and training of care professionals with smart technology to provide on-demand home caregiving to seniors, allowing them to age at home with comfort, dignity, control and grace. Using a web and mobile technology platform, Homage efficiently matches care recipients with qualified care professionals and schedules caregiving on an on-demand basis to provide recipients with home nursing care and assistance with daily activities. Homage works with both private clients and public organizations alike to provide high quality caregiving to seniors.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Nursing Director is responsible and accountable for the overall management of clinical governance and quality leading all clinical aspects of Homage’s care delivery standard operating protocols. The individual has strong nursing experience and training in the acute health setting alongside a breadth of experience and training in community health. The nurse is responsible for ensuring all clinical, safety and quality aspects of care delivery to the homes of Homage’s seniors from recruiting and supervision of care professionals to delivery of care. This position is part of the Care Operations & Quality team to ensure that the overall customer experience is seamless and of high quality.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide nursing leadership and direction to the Care Specialist team
  • Develop, maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice and operational policies while maintaining compliance with legislation and regulations
  • Proactively identify system and process improvement that will mitigate clinical risk while ensuring quality customer experience
  • Work with cross-functional operations and care advisory teams to provide a strong clinical voice and advisory
  • In-charge of the performance and professional development of the Care Specialists; motivate, coach and guide the team to perform at their optimal levels
  • Conduct home care assessment where required, an initial assessment of senior and family to determine care needs, up to 2 times per day or more depending on team resources
  • Participate in team and management meetings to provide updates or clinical inputs, as well as external business meetings where required
  • Support the People Operations team in manpower planning for the care specialist team and the recruitment of nursing personnel
  • Support the recruitment, competency tests and onboarding session of Care Professionals

Requirements

  • Possess a Degree in Nursing from a SNB accredited university; Masters will be a bonus

  • 10+ years nursing experience in hospital ward setting, ideally with 3 years of community nursing experiences

  • A minimum of 5 years in nursing administration or a comparable management position

  • Experience in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to proactively identify areas of operational excellence and create solutions

  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate clearly and effectively

  • Desire to make a big and positive impact

  • Open to working during weekends where required, with corresponding off days

  • A highly communicative team player passionate in empowering the team to improve all clinical, safety and quality aspects of care delivery
